The Dark Secrets Buried by the UK and the US in the Indian Ocean

There are always some dark corners of the world that remain unknown, used by governments for secret operations. Over the past few months, foreign journalists have been applying to visit the uninhabited island of Diego Garcia, the main island of the British Indian Ocean Territory of the Chagos Archipelago, to report on the ruling regarding Tamil people's asylum applications. However, the British government first posed a judicial challenge to try to prevent journalists from attending the hearings, ultimately losing in the Supreme Court. The United States then stepped in, stating it would not provide food, transportation, or accommodation, attempting to further block the interviews through administrative means. Naturally, a remote geographic location is best for burying a country's dark secrets.
