An ordinary person of humble background. In my salad days, I ventured into the sports journalism field, later navigating the fund industry, wielding the pen for investment, and eventually took on a research analyst role at a securities firm. On 2 July 2025, US President Donald Trump, never one to shy away from controversial proposals, floated yet another idea that managed to baffle legal experts, infuriate critics, and surely earn a few chuckles from history buffs: deporting U.S. citizens who commit crimes. Yes, you read that right—Americans, born and raised, could someday find themselves banished from their own country.
Speaking at a migrant detention center in the Florida Everglades, Trump declared that the problem isn’t limited to new arrivals. As Echo Express shows on its YouTube channel: "They're not new to our country. They're old to our country. Many of them were born in our country. I think we ought to get them the hell out of here, too," he said with his trademark candor. "So maybe that will be the next job."
